Affiliate association established in the US

An association has been established by six US-based companies in order to regulate and advocate on behalf of the gambling industry.

The Responsible Gambling Affiliate Association (RGAA) has been founded by Better Collective, Catena Media, Gambling.com Group, oddschecker Global Media, Spotlight Sports Group, and XLMedia.

It will focus on five key pillars, including promoting competitive gambling markets, industry education, creating advertising codes of conduct, encouraging responsible business practices and ensuring consumer protection, empowerment and choice.

Establishment

The RGAA will be established with a President as head of its leadership, a role that will be announced at a later date.

The founding members of this organisation have emphasised the importance of responsible gambling and the role of affiliates in helping regulated online gambling operators.

In lieu of this news Michael Daly, Catena Media CEO stressed the importance of affiliation:

“The US gambling market is swiftly regulating and affiliates are vital to the overall industry. Catena Media is proud to be a founding member of the RGAA, an association committed to promoting responsible, positive wagering experiences through legal, regulated operators.”

Further efforts

Charles Gillespie, Gambling.com CEO has stated on the matter:

“All stakeholders in the American online gambling market need to understand the critical role affiliate companies play in helping regulated online gambling operators achieve their growth targets.”

Better Collective, one of the founding members, recently announced an agreement to acquire Playmaker Capital, a digital sports media group based in Toronto.

Mark Frank Pedersen, Better Collective CEO of North America, explained his company’s stance towards empowering its industry:

“We are committed to doing everything possible to help empower our industry to promote gambling as entertainment and enable our customers to enjoy our products and services responsibly.”
